Today we have three more builds for the troll warbeast stable - the Slag Troll, Storm Troll, and the newest heavy option, the Dire Troll Mauler Brawler. Let's dig right in.
First up is the Brawler, the latest addition to the list of Dire Troll heavies, and the first non-character heavy that can hit with something besides its fists! This model was an absolute pleasure to assemble, being made entirely of (very cleanly cast) hard resin. Hopefully Privateer will use this material more going forward.
The only modification to this guy was the addition of a large, troll-ish nose and ears. These were sculpted over supporting pins that had been drilled in to the head.
The Slag Troll was a little more involved. The base for this model was an Ice Troll from Reaper's "Bones" line. The head is from a Forest Troll model by Dark Sword, while the scary-looking arms came from a warhammer model. These were acquired from a bits seller but I believe they originally came from a chaos spawn or mutant model. The whole assembly is held together with some putty and based on top of a wrecked warjack (constructs being the favored prey of slag trolls).
The Storm Troll is a simple one next to the above, just a head swap and some gap filling. The head is from another warhammer plastic troll kit.
